Look at the story Jesus[tags]Jesus[/tags] tells about the man that builds on the rock and the guy that builds on the sand. He says, “When the storms come…” referring to the troubles and strife we will experience in life.
But in 1 John[tags]1 John[/tags] we see the phrase, “… and if you should sin…” which means that we won’t necessarily sin[tags]sin[/tags].
Now I’m not suggesting we are not sinners. We are and are not saved by anything we’ve done… only by the grace[tags]grace[/tags] of God[tags]God[/tags]. But now we are saved and have the Holy Spirit[tags]Holy Spirit[/tags] as our constant companion is it possible to live a life of victory over sin[tags]victory over sin[/tags]?
What do you think?

Oh yeah! It just takes practice and determination on your part, and a willingness to trust in God whenever you need him.
I would be lying if I said I constantly am victorious over sin, trying to win over Satan is a constant battle from day to day, however the fact that I know God is with me all the time and backs me up 100%, helps me a great deal in trying to be victorious over sin.
It is definitely possible, believing in God and yourself is the key.
Great comment Renee.
From my experience it’s the willingness to trust God bit that is the hardest. I manage that and then when something really tough comes along, I tend to try and do it in my own power again.
I BELIEVE THAT AS SAINTS OF GOD IS MANDATORY FOR US TO LIVE A SIN FREE LIFE SO THAT THE WORLD CAN SEE SEE JESUIS IN OUR LIVES. ROMANS 6 SAYS HOW SHALL WE THAT ARE DEAD TO SIN LIVE ANY LONGER THEREIN? JUDE 24SAYS “NOW UNTO HIM WHO IS ABLE TO KEEP US FROM FALLING” THE HIM REFERED TO IS JESUS CHRIST! JAMES 4:7 SAYS “SUBMIT YOURSELF THEREFORE TO GOD, RESIST THE DEVIL AND HE WILL FLEE FROM YOU! SINCE THERE WILL BE NO SIN ALLOWED IN HEAVEN, THEN WE MUST LIVE A HOLY AND SANCTIFIED LIFE BEFORE GOD IN LOVE IN ORDER TOMAKE IT IN! HALLELUJAH! THANK YOU JESUS!
